Flask tongs are used only to handle flasks – use beaker tongs for beakers. Note the rubber “bumpers”. Some graduated cylinders that are smaller may not have “bumpers”, but have reinforced glass rims. The top plastic bumper ALWAYS stays at the top, to prevent breakage if it falls over.
Flasks can be used for making solutions or for holding, containing, collecting, or sometimes volumetrically measuring chemicals, samples, solutions, etc.
Our stainless steel tongs are ideal for picking up beakers, bottles etc. As standard they are made from 304 stainless steel and have the option of a rubber grip. Can be used to pick up hot or cold items. Ideal for production and laboratory work.
